My husband and I had taken a Keycamp holiday in the past and swore to have another French holiday, this time at the famed Cote’ de Azur. Everyone dreams of sipping wine in the French Riviera and we were no different.

Perfect for Families and Honeymooners

We chose Le Baume, a beach setting at the edge of the Esterel Forest. We were fortunate to have a mobile home and a deck with a barbeque grill. Our mobile home was cozy and air-conditioned.

Le Baume has many attractions such as:

For us on a second honeymoon, the major attractions were horseback riding, restaurant dinners in a bistro-like setting and dancing.

All Keycamp sites assure you of modern conveniences and at Le Baume, it was no different. We had wi-fi, laundry services, grocery stores, restaurants and laundry services. In fact, we got to really enjoy our holiday because we had everything we needed within reach yet we were remote enough to really soak in the sun, the sea and the air.

Nearby Attractions

Anyone going to France will not be able to resist refreshing jaunts to nearby areas. To maximize the fun on our holiday in France, we visited the Marineland at Antibes, considered the best sea world in Europe and the Parc Zoologique in nearby Frejus. We also visited the French “Grand Canyon” overlooking the river Verdon.

The nearest beach is the Frejus Saint Raphael. We also got to sample the scents produced in the factories of Grasse, the perfume capital of France. Travelling from Le Baume was enjoyable whether you are overlooking St. Tropez and Cannes or viewing fields of lavender on the way to Grasse. The topography changes from beachfront to forests and colorful fields planted to flowers grown for their essential oil. Needless to say, the scent of the air is heavenly.

Getting There

Keycamp offers accommodations and special 20% discount if you book early. Bigger units can house whole families though you only get charged for couple accommodation. Travelling is made easy by Keycamp. In our case, we first chose our destinations because you can actually go from one campsite to another. We travelled by ferry from the U.K. and once in France, can travel by coach or Rail Europe. Those who are more familiar with Europe may find it more convenient to self-drive. In our case, we chose to avail of the transfer from parc to airport.

Too Many Routes, Too Little Time

We enjoyed a 5% discount from Keycamp in this French holiday. We certainly appreciate this gesture for repeat customers. We see a lot of children and teens having the time of their life here at Le Baume. I suppose the next time around, we won’t be a couple but a family of three.
